Three gorges dam braces for biggest flood peak in china

Flood wates are sluiced at the Three Gorges Dam that spans the Yangtze river by town of sanouping located in Yiling district of Yinchang, Central China , July 19 2010. The water influx into the Three Georges reached 58,000 steres/sec on monday. Setting new recordin this year flood season. Engineers will raise the rate of water outflow 40,000 steres /sec to face the biggest flood peak since the dame was establised.
