Cloud shadows

cloud shadows can occur when the sun is higher in the sky. From aloft, in an aircraft, a person can look out the window and see large cloud shadows on the ground. Most everyone has experienced a cloud shadow. On any sunny day, a cloud will sometimes cross over the sun and the sun will disappear temporarily.
